Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2 May 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Sambodh IAS website and platform (the “Service”) operated by Sambodh IAS, a sole proprietorship with its principal place of business in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (referred to as “Sambodh IAS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a subscription. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2. The Service
Sambodh IAS provides an AI-powered learning platform for candidates preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and similar competitive exams. The Service includes adaptive assessments, current-affairs content, spaced-repetition revision, concept explainers, and related study tools.
We do not guarantee any particular exam outcome or rank. The Service is a study aid, not a guarantor of success.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, current, and complete information at registration
- Maintaining the security of your password
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, share credentials, or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees through our payment partner Razorpay. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Recurring subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account access
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content (questions, explainers, current-affairs material) without written permission
- Use the Service to harass other users or upload unlawful content
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts against the Service
- Use the Service for any purpose other than personal exam preparation
Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — including questions, explainers, current-affairs analysis, software, design, and branding — is the property of Sambodh IAS and protected by Indian copyright and trademark laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the content for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation only.
User-generated content (e.g., your answers, notes) remains yours, but you grant us a license to use it to operate, improve, and personalise the Service for you.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers including Razorpay (payments), Supabase (data storage), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of these third parties, but we choose them carefully and require them to maintain appropriate security standards.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any specific exam outcome. AI-generated explanations may occasionally contain errors; verify critical information from official sources.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Sambodh IAS's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account anytime from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, with refund treatment as per our Refund Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
