Refund & Cancellation Policy

Sambodh IAS aims to provide a transparent, fair refund process. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.
1. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account dashboard or by emailing contact_sambodh@sambodh-ias.in. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
There are no cancellation charges.
2. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds under the following conditions:
Monthly Subscriptions
- Within 7 days of first purchase: full refund, provided you have attempted fewer than 25 questions or accessed fewer than 5 concept explainers.
- After 7 days, or if usage exceeds the above thresholds: no refund.
Quarterly / Annual Subscriptions
- Within 7 days of purchase: full refund, subject to the usage thresholds above.
- After 7 days: pro-rata refund of the unused period, less a 10% administrative fee, available only if no usage in the preceding 30 days.
- After 6 months from purchase: no refund.
One-time Purchases (e.g., individual courses, mock test packs)
- Within 48 hours of purchase, with no content accessed: full refund.
- After content access or 48 hours: no refund.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable:
- Purchases where 25% or more of the subscription content has been accessed
- Mock tests already attempted
- Live events, workshops, or 1-on-1 mentorship sessions already attended
- Promotional or discounted purchases (specifically marked non-refundable at checkout)
4. Service Issues
If the Service is materially unavailable due to our fault for more than 48 continuous hours during your active subscription, you are entitled to a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period, at your choice. Email us with details to claim this.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email contact_sambodh@sambodh-ias.in with:
- Your registered email
- Order ID or Razorpay payment ID
- Reason for refund
We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and decide within 7 working days.
6. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method through Razorpay within 7–10 working days. Your bank may take an additional 2–5 working days to reflect the credit. We do not control bank-side timelines.
7. Chargeback Policy
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute through your bank without first contacting us, your account will be suspended pending resolution. We strongly encourage you to email us first — most issues are resolved quickly.
8. Force Majeure
In line with Rule 6(3) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we are not liable for service unavailability caused by events outside our reasonable control (natural disasters, internet outages affecting major regions, cyberattacks beyond standard precautions, government action). We will resume service as soon as practicable and honour pro-rata credits for extended outages.
9. Changes to This Policy
Changes apply prospectively. Existing subscribers retain the refund terms applicable at the time of their purchase for the remainder of that subscription term.
